We Need More Members

We have to spend quite a lot on running an office, which means phones and faxes, copying and mailing,  and quite a lot of travel and research.    Friends of The Lizard is an entirely voluntary organisation, depending totally on its members for funds.     

But apart from the money, we want our voice to grow stronger and louder as we stand up  for the Lizard, so that is never loses its beauty, peace and tranquillity.      No other organisation can be depended upon to take a sensitive, sensible and long-term view of the future of our peninsula.

Most important : if yours is a business which depends on building and maintaining a consistently high level of visitors' spend on accommodation, food, fuel, mementoes,  attractions etc., etc., then you need the strength of Friends of The Lizard behind you

What Does It Cost To Join?

We recognise that many Lizard residents cannot afford to pay out large sums  - but they need and want to be members of The Friends.  So our minimum annual subscription is £5.00 - but of course we welcome whatever contribution you can afford beyond a fiver.  There is also the opportunity to become a Life or Corporate member - please ask Jeremy Dart, our membership secretary to explain, if you are interested.   Call him on 01326 280 721.   But a Friend is a Friend, whatever they have paid  to join.   

NOTE:  We accept membership on a household basis - one subscription per household entitles all permanent adult residents of that household  to membership of  The Friends if they support our causes.

Subscription Details:
All subs are minimum per year unless otherwise stated, and greater sums, if new members feel they can afford it, are very warmly welcome and appreciated!

Single (adult 18 and over)  £5.00
Couple (two at the same address)  £8.00                                         
Junior (15 -18)  £1.00                                                         
Family Group (2 adults & all juniors at the same address)  £10.00     
Life Membership 13 x annual rate (excluding juniors)           
Corporate Membership - By negotiation
